Leaders in Training (L.I.T.)
Our L.I.T. program is for young men, ages 15-18, who have a desire to develop their leadership abilities and cultivate a deeper relationship with Christ. The training includes pre-summer preparation including a thorough application process, completion of a Bible study and several memorizations. Upon arrival at camp, the trainee will take part in a wilderness training experience followed by counselor training with other members of the staff. During the final weeks of the program the trainee will serve as a junior counselor under the guidance of the senior staff.
Collegian and Senior Staff
Men and women are needed to fill various positions for the camp season, including counselors, activities leaders, lifeguards, assistant cooks, nurses and program positions. Compensation is provided for college age staff based on the position being filled. Adult staff serve on a volunteer basis.
Young men, ages 13-17, who would like to be a part of our summer team for a week can join our service crew. Responsibilities include maintenance and clean-up around camp, groundwork and other special projects that will improve the overall appearance and function of the camp. Daily activities will also include free time and special activities. Service crew members are required to attend one week as a camper for each week they will serve, unless otherwise approved by the camp director.
Volunteers and Staff
All staff and volunteers must demonstrate a desire to serve the Lord through their work at Camp Kaskitowa. Each person must go through an application and interview process and be approved in order to serve. Those accepted will complete a training program based on the capacity in which they will serve. Please contact the camp director using the information at the front of this brochure for application information.
